ALRIGHT, so I have a problem. (Solved it!)

"Oh, I'll start submitting artwork when summer's here. It can wait."

"I'll just need to install the three-in-one's software on my laptop. Everything'll be fine."

Yeah, right.

So, my parents' HP Officejet 5610's software has gone AWOL. Good news is, my parents are (kind of?) willing to buy me my own scanner (and hopefully it'll be a printer, too). They know I'm going to end up buying one myself when I leave for college anyway, so why delay the inevitable?

What do you guys use? I'm eying this one scanner, the Canon CanoScan 8800F, but it's $180. My next choice is the Epson Perfection V200 Photo at $80, but I'd rather have the Canon (I trust Canon). Still, there has to be cheaper alternatives, even if most people online seem to like the Canon.

Please impart your knowledge upon me? 8D


EDIT: Thanks for the suggestion, :iconwavewhisper:. I'm glad my parents were so willing to get me a scanner, because I know have a Canon CanoScan LiDe 200....which is exactly what :iconwavewhisper: has. |D
